- N9VR - Had some time yesterday so I hung er' up. Went up fine, looks good in the air too.
Ran a curve with the mfj259 before hooking it up to IC7700. (The chart below is the final
resting position and swr curve.)
- W4FCM - Works Of Art - The quality of Bob's antennas are works of art, and they are made to last in any environment . For the money, they are the best dipoles currently available!
- AL7HG - 160 meter wonder - I work several nets on 160 meters and was using a straight dipole I cut, but the coverage with good SWR was lacking. I ordered one of these double bazookas and the coverage increased dramatically and the SWR was wide.
Too bad 160 meters is about to get unusable.
This antenna was a dream to put up on my tower and worked fine with full legal limit.
- W8YG - I purchased 3 of Bobs antennas and I was going to put up a reference dipole and do all kinds of crazy comparsion tests.. NAH!!!.
Well I got them all in the air and was having so much fun making contacts that I didnt have time to make any tests other than making numerous contacts on all bands. Getting 20 over signal reports on 80 meters barefoot out to 1500 miles. Oh and I dont have any high trees to speak of and the antennas are at 35 to 45 feet at the apex.
My swr cure is just as Bob said it would be and now my tuner is just for when I want to go higher on the bands with my amp. Bob is a great ham and has brought back the art of the amateur radio service. Yes art . His antennas are truly works of art.
- As far as I am concerned American Aerial is setting a new pace with their custom handmade performance tested antennas, especially when it comes to antennas that do what they are advertised to do when they arrive.
- I have tried many antenna manufacturers, but really like the fact that American Aerial Antennas are handmade right here in the United States and put Americans to work.
- Thanks to American Aerial Antennas our Emergency Operations Center is fitted with antennas that stay up while we are working some of the worst stroms we had in 30 years.
